Frequently Asked Questions
Is Vortex Downloader free to use?
Yes! Vortex offers a permanently free edition supporting full 1080p HD downloads and standard parallel streams. Upgrading to Pro unlocks 8K HDR, 32-stream turbo acceleration, In-App Media Streamer, Video Clipper, and removes ads.
Can I download audio only (MP3)?
Yes. Vortex can automatically extract and convert online media to high-fidelity MP3 (up to 320kbps), AAC, WAV, or lossless FLAC.
Does Vortex store or monitor the links I download?
No. Vortex is a client-side utility that operates completely on your local computer. We do not run intermediate proxy servers and zero download logs are collected.
How does Vortex compare to other download managers like IDM, FDM, or JDownloader?
Unlike single-purpose tools, Vortex combines 32-stream dynamic HTTP chunking, native 8K video extraction, and an integrated BitTorrent client into a modern Windows 11 desktop application. How does crypto payment work for Pro?
We accept USDT (TRC-20 on TRON). Simply transfer the plan amount to our official address and paste your transaction hash (TXID) into the checkout form at api.vortexdownloader.org. The system verifies the payment on-chain within seconds and mints your permanent license key.
What happens when my 7-day Pro Trial ends?
When the trial ends, your software gracefully reverts to the Free edition. You will never be charged automatically unless you choose to purchase a Pro key.
